Okay, I need to know I’m not the only one who does this I spent nearly 30 hours assembling and painting a massive spaceship model over the weekend, and weirdly, I didn’t get bored for a second. It was one of those projects where you completely lose track of time, you know? I started with just a couple of parts and before I knew it, the entire thing was taking over my kitchen table. Anyone else have a hobby that just eats up time like that but you don’t even care?

Totally get you! For me, it’s 3D printing sci-fi stuff. Some of these builds take days to print and even longer to clean, prime, and paint. But I’m hooked. I recently found a stash of 3d models for printing for some seriously detailed vehicles — it’s like a rabbit hole I willingly jump into every time. I’ve had prints running nonstop all week and it still feels like I just started.
I walked into my cousin’s place last month and his living room looked like a scene from a movie set — half-painted figures, mini tools everywhere, and this giant alien ship on the windowsill. The dedication is wild. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone this focused on something that’s not work or food-related. Made me think there’s definitely something special about getting that deep into a creative hobby.
